About Us

I started the Dahlia Foundation in 2016.

I was so moved by the Refugee crisis affecting Europe I knew I had to do something to ease their suffering and that meant taking a trip to Lesvos in February 2016.

I worked independently with other independent volunteers and together we made a difference.

We were involved in the receiving of boats arriving in the dark of night. We would take part in the delivery of aid to the camps, support financially those that needed money to carry on their journey, fundraise to provide genuine life vests, provide entertainment in family camps, provide aid and assistance to those in need of pastoral care, cooking and providing food for refugees in camps and lastly providing accommodation to vulnerable families.

Since February 2016, there have been many more trips to Lesvos, as the crisis deepens and shows no end.

In the first 9 months of 2016 more than 166,000 refugees had arrived by boat. 37% of refugees stuck in Greece are children and 21% women

Currently there are over 60,000 refugees stuck in Greece. People continue to arrive as the bombs, persecution and fighting continues in their countries.

I continue to carry on the work I started, by providing aid, medical, accommodation and monetary assistance to refugees living in Europe.

100% of what you donate goes straight to those in need, this is what makes a difference.

Me and a 3 week old baby we rescued from a boat in the middle of the night. We continue to support her as her journey continues in Greece. She is lacto intolerant.
